President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. undertook an official visit to the General Santos Fish Port Complex (GSFPC), observed the comprehensive tuna trading operations at the facility and convened with fisherfolk, port users, and key stakeholders within the fisheries sector.

Preparations are well underway for the highly anticipated 25th National Tuna Congress and Trade Exhibit. On June 25, 2025, a crucial Executive Committee (EXECOM) Meeting was hosted by the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO) at Camp Lira.

DOLE Region 12 Technical Working Group successfully finalized its proposed revisions to DOLE Department Order No. 156-16. Now set for endorsement to a National Consultation in July 2025!

The General Santos City Development Council (CDC) formally adopted seventeen (17) resolutions submitted by the Economic Development Committee (EDC).
