Gearing the Philippine tuna industry towards sustainability, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) kicked off the 6th wave of its 4-day Capacity Building program for Tuna Handliners at the East Asia Royale Hotel in General Santos City.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed on May 16, 2024, in General Santos City for the study of Fish Aggregating Devices.

The fifth batch of officers and crew from commercial and municipal tuna handline fishing vessels participated in the Capacity Building program from April 29 to May 2, 2024, at the East Asia Royale Hotel.
